This page explains what personal information Wetherby Media collects when you use wetherbymedia.com, why it is collected and what you can do about it. Wetherby Media is run by Ankit Bhatti from New Delhi, India. If anything here is unclear, email ankit@wetherbymedia.com.

What we collect

• Contact form details. When you send a message through the contact form, we receive your name, email address and the message you write.
• Emails you send. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the email.
• Cookie choices. The cookie banner remembers whether you accepted or declined optional cookies.
• Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider’s servers automatically log technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used for security and keeping the site running.
• Analytics (if enabled). If we use an analytics tool, it collects information such as pages visited, time on page and approximate location, and only after you allow it through the cookie banner where consent is required.

We do not ask for payment details on this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to communicate about your project.
• To keep the website secure and working properly.
• To understand, in general terms, how the website is used so we can improve it (only if analytics is enabled).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. This site uses a cookie consent banner (SureCookie) so you can choose which optional cookies to allow. Some cookies are necessary for the site to work and for remembering your cookie choice. Optional cookies, such as analytics cookies or cookies set by affiliate partners, are only used in line with the choices you make in the banner.

You can change your choice at any time using the cookie banner settings, and you can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.

Third parties

Some services we use may receive limited information, such as your IP address, when you visit the site:

• Hosting: the website runs on WordPress and is hosted by Hostinger, which processes server data to deliver the site.
• Google Fonts: the fonts are loaded from Google’s servers, so your browser connects to Google when pages load.
• Unsplash: some images are loaded from images.unsplash.com, so your browser connects to Unsplash to show them.
• Contact form: form messages are handled by the SureForms plugin on our WordPress site and sent to our email.
• Affiliate links: some Journal articles contain affiliate links (for example to Amazon or similar retailers). If you click one, that retailer may set its own cookies to track the referral. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
• Analytics (if enabled): an analytics provider would process usage data on our behalf.

These services have their own privacy policies, which explain how they handle data.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails and form messages for as long as needed to reply and to keep a reasonable record of our conversations, and generally no longer than two years after the last contact unless you become a client. Client records may be kept longer where needed for accounting or legal reasons. Server logs and analytics data are kept for the periods set by those providers.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it or delete it. To do this, email ankit@wetherbymedia.com from the address you used to contact us. We will reply as soon as we can, and usually within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have other rights under local privacy laws, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
